Mom and Dad Allegedly Stabbed By Son

The Volusia County Sheriff's Office is on the scene of a stabbing incident in the 3100-block of Hyder Avenue in Deltona. 

Deputies were notified at approximately 5 p.m. that two adults, one man and one woman, had been stabbed multiple times by a person known to them. 

Both victims were transported by Sheriff's Office helicopter to Halifax Health Medical Center in Daytona Beach.


Both victims, who are husband and wife, remain hospitalized at Halifax Health Medical Center in Daytona Beach. The male victim underwent emergency surgery and as of early Sunday night.  Both victims were listed in stable condition. The victims are as follows:

-Theresa Fey, age 54
-Thomas Fey, age 60

Theresa Fey fled the home after the attack took place and ran to a nearby wooded area, where she was located by responding deputies. Thomas Fey was inside the residence. The suspect, 28-year-old Thomas Fey, is the couple’s son and lives with the victims at the residence where the stabbings occurred. Investigators are still trying to determine what sparked the violence.


Deputies are actively searching for the suspect, 28-year-old Thomas Fey of Deltona, who is believed the be driving a champagne-colored 2009 Jeep Grand Cherokee, license number 285HER. 

Anyone who knows Fey's whereabouts is asked to call 911 immediately.
