Seminole County Motorcycle Deputy Killed In Crash







Altamonte Springs, Fla., - The Seminole County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO) mourns the loss of Deputy Matt Miller who died in a traffic crash while on duty yesterday afternoon.  He was 53 years old.
 

Deputy Miller was a member of the SCSO motor unit and had served with the agency for nearly twenty-four years.  He leaves behind a wife.

The crash occurred at 1:17 p.m. when Deputy Miller’s motorcycle collided with a second vehicle at Maitland Boulevard and Gateway Drive in Altamonte Springs, Fla..  The second driver was transported to Orlando Regional Medical Center.  The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.

The SCSO issued a statement on its Facebook page which says, in part "...Deputy Miller was an outstanding law enforcement officer who served our agency with honor and dignity.  Please keep his family in your thoughts and prayers.  We will share information on memorial arrangements as they become available."
